Opened My Own Shop LOL

 . ₊ ⋆ ✿ ⁺ 📓⋆ ☻₊ ⋆˚ ⋅ ⁺  I'm not leaving Etsy.

While I've always had it in the back of my mind that I will eventually start my own shop outside of Etsy's marketplace, I didn't think that would be anytime soon. I was adamant that Etsy was where it's at in terms of traffic and sales. I started selling digital designs there in late 2022 and have been pretty successful, making over 90% of my sales in 2024 alone. I did my work, A to Z, to make sure I was doing things right to be profitable. I'm proud to say that I'm now part of the top 3% club.. but like, the lower class.. if this percentile had classes; my sales can't pay rent but they pay my bills, groceries and feed my cat, yay!

So, needless to say, thing's have been going great and was looking forward to growing further. Until this new GPSR law, which I'm not going to explain (Google it and iykyk), that took effect this past December. While all my PNG and SVG files are without a doubt safe and in compliance, the part where I have to hire a representative in the EU is an impossible task, logically and logistically since I'm the micro-ist of microbusinesses. The only way for me to "comply" is to just block the EU and NI, but this is also impossible because Etsy does not have an option to opt-out of selling to these countries like sellers who sell physical items do. They will, however, add this feature but not until "late February". It's a whole mess on Etsy, tbh.

But whether they do or don't by that time, I don't want to be sitting around losing 2 months of business in limbo waiting. I love what I do and I love providing designs for other small businesses who rely on new clip arts for their shop.

So for this reason, welcome to abcomicsvg.com

P.S... Block is such an aggressive word, but you know what I mean. No hard feelings to the lovely people of Northern Ireland and the EU, it's just the red tapism for the little folks trying to make something for themselves.
